FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions customers ask when exploring the SCO platform — from Hotel PMS, Channel Manager to Tour, Restaurant, Transport, and CRM.

SCO HOS is an operational software platform for the hospitality & travel industry, helping businesses centrally manage rooms, bookings, customers, services, revenue, and daily operational activities on a single system.

The current ecosystem includes Hotel PMS, Channel Manager, Booking Engine, SCO Tour, SCO Restaurant, SCO Transport, and SCO CRM. The modules share customer data, services, and reports, so data does not need to be re-entered between departments.

You can start with the module that best fits your current business operations, then expand as needed. Enabling additional modules does not require reinstalling the system or migrating data.

Yes. The system runs on web browsers, so staff and managers can access it from computers, tablets, or phones without installing separate software.

PMS can be deployed for hotels, resorts, homestays, villas, boutique hotels, and accommodation properties requiring centralized management. Configurations are tailored to the scale and operational processes of each property.

The system manages room lists, room types, and room statuses; allowing staff to create direct bookings, perform check-in and check-out, and record guest information within the same workflow.

Yes. You can configure multiple room types, multiple rate plans, peak or off-peak season pricing, weekday rates, and custom pricing policies according to your business strategy.

Yes. Additional services (minibar, laundry, spa, dining, shuttle...) are recorded in the booking for tracking and payment together with the room bill when the guest checks out.

Yes. The system supports a multi-property model: managing multiple properties, setting permissions per property, and viewing centralized reports, depending on the service package and deployment configuration.

Yes. The Free plan supports up to 5 rooms with core features. You can upgrade when you need more rooms or want to use the Channel Manager.

Yes. The housekeeping department updates room cleaning status directly on mobile devices, and the front desk sees room status in real time, reducing manual communication between departments.

Not currently. Key card issuance and management are still performed on the facility's separate door lock system. Integration capabilities may be considered in the future depending on market demand and the connectivity capability of each door lock provider.

The system supports connecting to Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Airbnb, Traveloka, and can be expanded through Channel Manager partners to connect to more sales channels.

For successfully connected and mapped channels, the system synchronizes room inventory, rates, and room status; OTA bookings are imported into the system, reducing manual data entry.

Yes. Room availability is synchronized between the front desk, website, and OTA channels, reducing the risk of overbooking. All bookings from multiple channels are tracked on a single interface.

First, check the connection status, room/rate mapping configuration, and channel operating status. If the cause comes from an API or a third-party system, the SCO support team will coordinate with the provider to resolve it.

Yes. The Booking Engine integrates into your website, supporting discount codes and promotions; bookings created via the website are synchronized directly into the management system, helping increase direct bookings and retain customer data.

Yes. The system provides reports on revenue, room occupancy, booking source breakdown, and the performance of each sales channel to support tracking business performance.

SCO Tour manages tour products, departure schedules, seasonal and customer group pricing, bookings and guest lists, input services along with costs — from quotation to tour group settlement.

Yes. You can track service providers (hotels, transportation, restaurants, entrance tickets), tour guides, and partner liabilities by tour group to facilitate cost and profit reconciliation.

Yes. Accommodation services in the tour can be linked with Hotel PMS, while customer information and transaction history are shared with SCO CRM for post-trip care.

The restaurant module manages table layouts, menus, ordering, kitchen/bar printing, payments, work shifts, and sales reports by item, shift, or service area.

Yes. When used together with Hotel PMS, restaurant bills can be posted to the staying guest's booking and settled in a single payment upon check-out.

The system supports registering ingredients, setting recipe portions per dish, and tracking inventory import/export balances, helping control cost of goods sold and wastage during operations.

SCO Transport manages fleets, drivers, dispatch schedules, and pickup/drop-off requests — from airport shuttle services for hotels to vehicle dispatch for tour groups.

Yes. Each trip records the route, driver, vehicle, incurred costs, and corresponding revenue, serving operational efficiency reporting by vehicle or route.

CRM centralizes customer and lead data, manages transaction history, segments customers, tracks sales opportunities, and handles care campaigns before — during — after the trip.

Yes. When using a shared platform, customer profiles, stay history, tours, and services are consolidated into the CRM, allowing the sales and customer care teams to see the customer's entire journey.

The time depends on the scale, number of rooms, number of users, integration requirements, and level of customization. Standard configurations can be up and running within a few working days; more complex systems require additional time for survey and configuration.

Data migration can be supported depending on the data structure of the old system, the type of data to be transferred, and the implementation scope. The technical team will conduct a survey before agreeing on a plan.

Yes. SCO HOS can be installed on a server or computer located on-site. When operating within a LAN, front desk, housekeeping, and POS computers can all access it, and internal operations will continue to run even when the Internet is interrupted — but external-dependent functions such as OTAs, online payments, or Cloud sync will temporarily pause until the connection is restored.

Cloud is suitable when you want fast deployment, don't want to manage servers yourself, and need access from multiple locations. Self-hosted is suitable when you want full control over your infrastructure and data, and need internal operations even during Internet outages. A hybrid model is also feasible if you need both internal operations and OTA connectivity.

The system runs on a cloud platform with data backup and protection mechanisms according to the infrastructure and deployment service package. Administrators assign access permissions based on each employee's role, and key administrative actions are logged for operational control.

Yes. SCO HOS is developed with an open architecture, connecting to external services via APIs. The level of integration depends on the APIs and support capabilities of the partner systems; connections to OTAs, payment gateways, or e-invoices partly depend on the provider's policies.

Yes. SCO Vietnam provides guidance and usage training during the deployment process, then continues to provide support via contact channels. For issues related to third-party systems, the resolution time depends on the respective provider.
